  • Hmmm, how do you order a soda that is not a coke look a like? - Like Orange flavour Fanta? Orange Coke please!smile

Orange Coke please!smile

I found that the Orange flavour Fanta in the UK is yellow! In Afrika it is Orange - don't know about the rest of the world. In Hong Kong the Coke in Coca Cola cans taste like pepsi...weirdconfused ...almost a caramel taste.

I just think that there are some that call soda, "pop".

Never heard it being called "Pop" before! Here we just call it soft-drinks or cool-drinks...don't use the term "soda" much. Coca Cola is the main soft-drink maker here in SA - you can get pepsi - but it is very scarce.

I remember as a kid we called it "soda pop", don't hear that much now though.

Here in Scotland (mostly the Glasgow area i think) a lot of folks call it ginger. confused

See, Frans. You need to implement an on-line chat system. Banter like this is better viewed in real-time. And besides, I need a better distraction than your forums to keep me from my work - yours only distracts me once every half-hour and that's just not good enough. That is, unless I go through the trouble of actually logging into the forums themselves. But, oh ma gaw, that is so, like, 2002. (that's a California valley girl impersonation for those it was lost on) sunglasses

Jeff...

BTW, it's 2:30 a.m. here. Where am I? On the LLBLGen forums...I'm slightly ashamed...I should be looking at porn like any self-respecting male web user... wink

haha simple_smile That will be the case for several months. Just try to play a song without barre (F and up) chords. Try patience of guns & roses or one of U2. Pretty easy songs to start with simple_smile

FB, who owns 3 electric guitars and mostly listens to progressive metal. Click here for an own composition on guitar(mp3) simple_smile

How long did it take you? I have a Vender Electric with a little 15Watt amp. - still want a classical guitar - bit of a slep to plug the amp in every time. I try to practise for an hour every night.

Is that MP3 yours? Are you playng to a songs background are you part of a band? Sounds pretty goodsimple_smile -Excellent - Will be a while before i sound that good.

A Fender I suppose? wink

A classic guitar is harder to play, you have to press much harder than with an electric guitar. I started on a classic guitar, never took lessons though simple_smile , just try to learn to play some of your fav. songs, just the chords first, then later go into the more advanced stuff.

thanks simple_smile Yes, that's me playing simple_smile I wrote it, then programmed the drums with Cakewalk on my comp using soundblaster soundbanks, then played the bass lines and rythm guitar and then the melody. I used a POD I of line 6, which is an emp emulator, so the guitar sounds like as if you're in a studio simple_smile

I was in a band, but after 10 years or so we split up, the drummer moved to london, bass player up north and the singer quit, so just 2 guitar players wasn't that productive as a band wink . If you think you're good enough for a beginners band, you should join one, it's great fun and you'll learn a lot simple_smile

Cool, i play bass (badly). Seems a lot of IT types play a musical instrument of some type. One company i worked for we could have had a full band (including an accordian and a brass section!).

I played for my mate's band Tommy's Magic Arse for a short while when their regular bass player wasn't available. That was a laugh! stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye You can also hear me in the background on a number of tracks and i even sang a couple of song live with them at their regular new year bash in our home town.
