ASPxGrid and EntityCollections and filtering?

I am new to LLBLGen (and C# and ASP.Net and DevExpress), so I apologize if this has been answered somewhere. I did do a search and checked the FAQs, but didn't see anything.

Is there a simple reason why my EntityCollection isn't being properly filtered within a DevExpress ASPxGridView? Is there a flag I need or something to make it work?

Nothing special is required. Can you post your markup and code?

How exactly are you specifying the filter?
