It's 15:00, and you're already done for today?
I'm glad I can breath for 2 seconds
There is indeed soccer, but it's tonight, at 20:45: greece - france. I hope greece wins (sorry, french readers ). Tomorrow is the big match: The Netherlands - Sweden. Piece of cake of course for the orange boys

He, he.. I wish. I have been updating/writing help files for the last 2-3 weeks. And i am sooooo bored with it.
Programming is much more fun - Every now an again i find myself investigating some code...
I am not much of a soccer fan.. But since we got the World Cup for 2010 i have been paying more attention to soccer...Still have to figure out the rules Did the Netherlands not lose pretty badly last weekend?
Rugby is much more interesting... tomorrow it is South Africa vs Wales(me bit worried!) - we kicked Irelands butt last weekend although our back line sucked - SA usually has strong forwards and bad backline..they just can't seem to catch a ball and run at the same time...The forwards usually win the game for us.

Yesterday was the big match!
What a day yesterday was - i went to see Bob Dylan play possibly his best gig since 1966 in one of the best small rock venues in the uk - the Glasgow Barrowlands Ballroom. Rocktastic!! Bob was in sizzling form, certainly one to remember.
Then after the gig, i start to receive text updates about the football -
- 1-0 to england
- 1-1
- disallowed england goal
- extra-time
- 2-1 to portugal
- 2-2
- penalties
At this stage we run to the nearest pub just in time to see Beckham miss the first england penalty, the pub is in uproar (this is Glasgow remember, not many england supporters here )
- 0-0: Beckham blazes over
- 1-0: Deco scores
- 1-1: Owen scores
- 2-1: Simao scores
- 2-2: Lampard scores
- 2-2: Rui Costa misses
- 2-3: Terry scores
- 3-3: Cristiano Ronaldo scores
- 3-4: Hargreaves scores
- 4-4: Maniche scores
- 4-5: Ashley Cole scores
- 5-5: Helder Postiga scores
- 5-5: Vassell's kick is saved
- 6-5: Goalkeeper Ricardo wins it
Wow! What a night!!
Netherlands - Sweden should be a good game though.

You all suck... It's still 10:00 here. I appreciate the consistent torture every Friday. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy... And, by the way, I thought the U.S. was the only place that called it soccer?

Oh ya...And BEER!!
Don't you just love Fridays! or should we call in Jeff's day?
PS - We call soccer - sokker or voetbal or e-football. - Depending on your language of choice...
In the main black language here Xhosa - you just add 'e' in front off all english words if there is no native word for it....
Like e-coffee, e-email(Yeh! beleive it) and e-motocar...

Baseball for me. Those New York Yankees are going to beat up the New York Mets tonight. I'll be building a new computer for myself while I watch, so I best not have a beer with the game!

Btw, Greece beat France. (for the people who know what soccer is: france is like the LA Lakers, and Greece is like that other gang who won the NBA )

Yeah.. it seem like Mr. MVP? is actually a rebel!
Maybe he is a ruthless anti microsoft klingon programmer in disguise.

haha Actually, they made me MVP because I'm critical, they want that.
It's not that odd, the more critizism they get, with arguments, the better their products will become (which is the point of the critizism of course )

Hey!, Otis you should atleast tell us that Holland won.!
Euro: Sweden vs Holland : Quarter Final Regular Time: Sweden 0-0 Holland Overtime: Sweden 0-0 Holland Penalty Shoot-Out to decide winner Van der Saar Saves Holland! Holland win penalty shoot-out. Sweden 4-5 Holland Sweden OUT of Euro 2004
I hope this report is correct?
I know that soccer is a type of religion up there in Europe - so if you think this message might make enemies, then rather remove it.

yeah we won But it was horrible HORRIBLE to watch. Each individual in our team earns a couple of million euro's a year (at least, some over 10 million) and they were simply UNABLE to kick the ball to a team mate. As if there were 11 Frans Bouma's playing for us (I have absolutely no talent for soccer ). The swedes weren't better, but they also aren't as highly payed...
When the penalty shoot out started I really believed we would fail. We did that 3 times in a row already in previous tournaments. So overall we were very lucky yesterday, it was horrible to watch, but very exciting at the same time
My personal favorite is Portugal though (next to Holland of course ) and we have to play against them next on wednesday. Would have been a great final...

You guys seem to be the ultimate on/off team. You either play brilliantly or terribly, there is no in between, e.g. Scotland 1 - Holland 0 followed by Holland 6 - Scotland 1
Holland v Czech Replublic
now that will be a final worth seeing, if it's anywhere near as good a match as the last game.
p.s. it's monday now
