It's about time.

I heard last night that Frans will be interviewed for a show towards the end of this month. This is really a great opportunity to get the word out on Orm and for Solutions Design to discuss the ways LlblGenPro is different, better, more complete, has a greater span, etc. than others.

I didn't hear an exact date, but I'm really looking forward to listening to the show.

The news is out already? simple_smile . We did the interview last tuesday, it was great, .NET rocks indeed rocks simple_smile .

It will be aired on May 31st, show 242. simple_smile

I must say I was very surprised they asked me and am very honored I was asked for the show, especially if you consider the list of names they have interviewed in the past simple_smile

I'm surprised it took them this long, considering your standing in the MVP community and LLBLGen's capabilities in the ORM world.

I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit, buddy. You belong on that list and will surely be etched in time as one of the greats!

I'm looking forward to listening to the interview simple_smile

Do you think there's any chance of a DNRTV on LLBLGen down the line?

Hey Frans,

Nice to hear the voice of the person behind LLBLGen ! I downloaded the mp3, so I'm definitely going to listen to your story.

That was great!

I think this should be a regular thing, LLBL Rocks. I know DNR has a broad audience and this time was about recruiting members to the LLBL Cult. But I would love to hear you speak about more LLBL specific issues.

Not that it wasn't good, who doesn't like listening (or reading up till now) to Frans talk about LLBL, or OR Mappers, or databases, or his cat.

Nice Job!simple_smile

I thought it was good.

The difficulty with trying to explain LLBLGen is that it would be a lot easier if there were pictures as well. There is so much to the designer that it was hard for Frans (imho) to get across just using words.

But they had good things to say about LLBLGen, so that was good.

Interesting stuff there two, not specifically related to LLBLGen but O/R mapping in general. All in all well worth listening to.

Congratulations, Frans.

On another note, I thought I was the only person left in the world who would admit to programming in Universe. I even used native Pick before that!

You mean, in screencasts for example?

Nice Job!simple_smile

Thanks! simple_smile

Yeah that was really a struggle, also because in the beginning I was pretty nervous (although it wasn't live so it could be edited out etc.) and to find the right english words and also what to say as the right answer without a picture, it can be challenging wink

Congratulations, Frans.

Thank you! simple_smile

haha simple_smile I mentioned it because it's such an odd database that not a lot of people would have heard about it but nevertheless is an interesting technique (not that I'd choose it today). ALso, I hated databases during college but uniVerse made me love them actually, so I had to credit it wink

Great interview, just finished listening to it. My only problem was that you weren't in on the ORM smack down. It you're not arguing w/ Rob Howard on stored procs, you're fighting over llblGen's OOness. simple_smile

Yeah it was really a bummer I couldn't be at devteach to participate in the smackdown, but alas, perhaps next time wink
