I think it's only possible to use the embedded version of firebird with the 1.6 firebird .net provider which is now at RC1. Will you be releasing the firebird driver against 1.5.3 or would it be possible to use 1.6,

regards,

I'll release the driver against 1.5.4, which is released this weekend. When 1.6 is released, I'll recompile / fix the driver and DQE and will release it for 1.6. I think it is wise to stick with non-beta providers for now. I hope this is fine for you. If you need 1.6 support now, you can grab teh driver source and DQE source and compile it against 1.6.

There's no hurry and I agree that it's better to stick with a stable provider. It's more curiosity than need - where would I find the driver and DQE source?
