I have run LLBLGen Pro 2.0 many times and this morning when I went into run it, it wouldn't close the program? I had to do the Cnt-Alt-Del to actually close the task. I don't know how to post a graphic screen capture of this error but it says; Access to path 'C:\documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\LLBLGen Pro\guistate20.xml' is denied. It says the source on the bottom is mscorlib. I've gone into this directory where this unaccessible file resides and found the attribute to be 'hidden'. Furthermore, I've uninstalled LLBLGen Pro 2.0 and then reinstalled it to find the same behavior.

Walaa, I installed the LLBLGenPro20.msi file dated 11/7/06. Turns out when I deleted all of the files in the directory I describe above, the problem was corrected. When LLBLGen was started again, it replaced all of these files with the correct attributes. Thanks, David

Do you have a virusscanner running which scans that folder?

If this happens again, could you check which application has the file locked? You can do that by using process explorer, which is a free tool from www.sysinternals.com.

Otis, Yes. I've got AVG virus scan running sometimes. This time it didn't appear active, though. I downloaded the program you recommended and will run it if this happens again.

I finally found someone who works with LLBLGen Pro to help me through this cactus patch. You guys don't understand that all your documentation is written by someone who already knows it, as they explain it to themselves. It is not written to explain it to someone who is new to all this. I understand this isn't your intention and if you ever wanted, I'd be happy to create a Training DVD for those who are VERY new to it. David
