The schedule for v2 beta is as follows: at the moment all features we wanted to implement for v2 are done, except: - VistaDB driver - Postgresql driver - MySql 5.0 features. - DB2 iSeries driver (based on DB2 driver and the iSeries port which was made for 1.0.2004.2) - CF 1.0/2.0 support. These features will be added a.s.a.p. during the beta period.

Tomorrow (friday), a few last issues will be resolved and these are necessary because they (likely) require architectural changes. Also tomorrow, the interfaces are reviewed to see if more methods have to be added to the interfaces defined.

On saturday, beta-docs will be written and the beta will be released either saturday or sunday, depending on how much time the beta-docs take. Beta docs are typically documentation about what's changed, how to migrate your code (very important) and brief documentation on the new features and how to use them.

The beta period will likely be one month, perhaps somewhat longer, depending on how fast the documentation is done and the examples are finished.

Not all features we really wanted have been implemented in v2.0, mostly due to time constraints and also because some features weren't doable or not useful after looking more closely at it. If your feature you proposed isn't implemented, don't feel sad, it might still be on our todo list for the next version, but I hope I've implemented the features most people are waiting for.

So if everything goes as planned, v2 beta will be available on Saturday, otherwise Sunday. simple_smile . The beta will run for 30 days and is usable with your current license. So stay tuned, the wait is almost over! simple_smile

How does one go about getting v2 when it goes to beta? When we bought v1 back in July I actully purchased the upgrade at that time for v2. I've been holding my breath ever since vs 2005 came out and I'm really looking forward to being able to breath again!smile

When v2 goes beta (probably tomorrow (saturday) but likely sunday), you'll be able to download it from the customer area (beta section). simple_smile
