At the bottom of the index page, just tick the options that apply and click the 'Vote' button below.

Frans, are you registered?

I'm registered there and I didn't find a problem to vote.

Anyway the results so far are:

Option--------------------------------Votes---------% None (Hand-code for each project)-----54------------50.94
Visual Studio 2005 DataSet designer--17-----------16.04
LLBLGen-------------------------------------15------------14.15
CodeSmith-----------------------------------8-------------7.55
GenWise Studio----------------------------0--------------0
MyGeneration-------------------------------3-------------2.83
Iron Speed Designer----------------------0--------------0
Other-----------------------------------------15------------14.15

Yes I'm registered simple_smile I directly looked at the results, I clicked on a link somewhere else on the site, so I missed that poll at the bottom simple_smile .

What I find shocking is the amount of NIH-people ... more than half of the voters!

That's your market, Frans.

P.S. I voted - and pushed LLBLGen into the lead! (for developers that use a tool).

LLBL head to head with VS 2005....interesting. This should get noticed at MS I think.

Visual Studio 2005 DataSet designer 42 16.67 42 votes, 16.67% LLBLGen 45 17.86 45 votes, 17.86%

I think that their coders need to check their ranking algorithm... 45 votes to VS2K's 42 votes but a lower percentage? Wha?

[Edit: I'm a dork - just wasn't watching the sort order - or lack of]

Interesting that DeKlarit (which recently ranked high in some other survey) wasn't even an itemized option. Also: where's TierGenerator?

The homepage says: 2,941,176 members and growing!

Can some 600 votes(at the moment) represent all those people ? disappointed

In the text answers 2 people have mentioned deklarit.

TierGenerator, what's that? simple_smile You meant tierdeveloper? Well, why would someone pay 1400$ for a code generator when the competition has more features and is less expensive wink

I saw mygeneration has started to promote the poll some more to get more votes... oh well...

If you have a CodeProject login vote for MyGeneration in the poll at the bottom of the page: http://www.codeproject.com

Let's end this long standing fued, it would be a major triump if we beat LLBLGen on this, come on, we have the user base. Heave / Ho / Heave / Ho ....

I don't know why, cannot explain it, but I have become obsessed with this poll, heaven help me ...

Frans, you should take some marketing tips from these guys. It's pure genius:

"The dOOdads.NET Architecture - It's Tight!!"

confused

...then, another favorite:

"Do you want to write highly readable code like this?"

<then they show some code samples>

"If the answer is 'Yes' download MyGeneration and you could have your MyGeneration dOOdads business layer done before you head home today..."

disappointed

I can just hear the over emphasized voice telling me how wonderful my life will be.

He's mobilized the troups too. Have just recieved an email from MyGeneration asking ... nay, begging me to vote for MyGeneration. I didn't of course but it's put them in a very strong second place.

I just voted... i see mygeneration has passed up llblgen, in all fairness its pretty hard to compete against a product that is free smile

Griffin does have a nice way of coding queries though i have to admit...

If you have to rally your userbase to get the top spot in a codeproject poll..... what's life all about then, eh? wink .

I've to say it pleases me he's doing that much effort to get a position above LLBLGen wink

His query objects are ok. I don't use query objects so I can't use the same mechanism, though it's indeed better than plain string queries.

It also pleases me so much fans have already voted for LLBLGen and we didn't even asked them to simple_smile . Thanks smile .

It's also quite sad that all his dotnetnuke cronies have taken over the discussion thread with their "MyGeneration Rocks" nonsense. Personally, I think it looks bad for his product.

haha smile .

Yeah I saw that too. Apparently he thinks the whole world is eagerly awaiting the outcome of the Poll Of The Year (tm). wink .

In the comments, scroll down a bit to read the discussion of me with him about the mapping of any type onto any other type. Now... is it me or is he simply babbling nonsense? (as I don't recall ANY ado.net feature which can do what he says).
