Hi all,

I wonder how to move more than one entity in a model view in the designer. Even if I mark more than one entity (their frames become red), only one entity follows the mouse pointer.

Is anyone able to explain me, how to move more than one entity in a model view at once?

Thanx in advance, regards

Chris

Can't reproduce it. When I drag the selected entities, all of them move.

What's the release date of the designer you are using? (Help->About)

Also when you click the move cursor in the button bar?

I can't reproduce it as well.

Hi Otis,

after some investigations I am now able to describe this problem in more detail:

Assuming to have 8 entities, all (correct) connected (do not mind which kind of connection). If all 8 entities are marked, moving them around with the mouse on the surface is no problem.

BUT if just a couple of them, lets say 5, are marked, there is no chance to move the marked entities. And as the model growth, this becomes a (very) little bit ugly, if one has the need to reorder the entities.

Thanx in advance, best regards

Chris

Make sure you don't have an edge selected as well, could you check that please?

Yes, you are right. If I carefully select the entities I want to move and have no edge selected, everything works well. Will be a little tricky when a lot of entities have to be moved.
