Hi Guys,

We're currently looking for a decent mult-language CMS and are interested in what everyone else is using.

So, what your favourite .net CMS?

Cheers,

Pete

Depends on the budget, but working in a big company, I think Sharepoint 2007 which now includes MS CMS is a good option ...

My compnay tends to develop smaller sites so for us Sharepoint would be overkill.

For our larger clients we currently roll out EpiServer and we're looking into Kentico for our smaller clients.

We've found EpiServer support to be really, really bad. Does anyone have experience working with the guys from Kentico?

Cheers,

Pete

What I have heard is that their support and documentation is quite good, but I don't have personal experience here.

A few things to consider:

Kentico only uses SQL Server ... so if your clients have policies for example to only use Oracle databases, this might be a problem

Further: It does not have the possibility to create static HTML sites. And if I am right (not sure here) this does mean that the webserver will need access to the database (because not everything works via remoting), which means that you might have a problem with some company policies.

One other option is perhaps to check out axCMS.NET ...

Deane over at gadgetopia.com spends a lot of time writing about CMSs. You can see his articles at http://www.gadgetopia.com/category/12

Of course, for most of their implementations, they aren't bound by SQL Server or .NET and he generally leans towards open source implementations.

And of course, there is the upcoming Graffiti CMS from Telligent/Community Server: http://communityserver.org/blogs/dailynews/archive/2007/08/29/sneaking-a-glimpse-of-graffiti.aspx

I started out using Rainbow Portal ( http://www.rainbowportal.net ) but a few months ago discovered mojo ( http://www.mojoportal.com ). Both are C# and Opensource, Mojo is more active and gets regular updates.
