Let me start with complementing, half of my problems are solved thru Forum only for half "Frans ....The Brain" is there simple_smile .

Anwways I was wondering there's any thing like viewing all my threads(started by me), if yes then how and if no it would be a nice feature, if possible. Thing is everytime I start a thread I have to add it to my bookmark to keep track of it.

Thanks guys

Thanks for the compliments, KS simple_smile

We've added a couple of new features to this new version of our forum software: email notifications, which you can enable by default in your profile. When you do that, you automatically subscribe to threads you start or threads you post in. WHen a new post is posted in these threads, you 'll get an email.

Another thing is showing the last 25 threads a person has participated in. If you click on 'KS' in a view where your nick is shown, like threads view, or message view, you'll see these threads.

Though the email tracking might help you most, so you can just wait for the email to arrive and go to the thread mentioned in the email. You can subscribe to a thread as well by clicking the notification button in message view at the top of the message list. You can unsubscribe from a thread by clicking that same button when it has a red cross in it.

I see we don't have this thread list in the edit profile form, which might be an addition you might want, to see the last 25 threads you participated in. You want us to add that? (as that's pretty simple). We don't enlist all threads as that might be a big list or a lot of pages to wade through simple_smile

Yeah that's what I was looking for, thanks. However here is something for you to learn, "Instincts of the user". I somehow tried looking for it along with other groups(my bookmarks, active threads etc etc). UIs are all about - Instincts of Users simple_smile

See, when you login into forum, you don't have access to your NickName link. And you want right away start looking into my threads. Hope it will give better perpective of a User

It will definitely save time of any user with quite a few threads.

heh. Well, it's sometimes hard to predict what users will do, as often why they're looking for a given thing isn't that obvious, though they do want to look for it. I'll add the option.

Ok, very good point. I'll make sure a proper feature like that is added.

Ok, in the next build of the forum code (updated tomorrow, saturday), I've added 'My Threads' to the horizontal top menu. It brings you to a page with a threadlist similar to what you'll see in the profile overview of another user, and it will allow you to page through the last 500 threads you participated in (or less, if you didn't participate in 500 threads wink ), sorted by last post descending.

There were more than you who've asked for this and it's a logical addition for this system as we'll drop the helpdesk system on our site for this new forum soon.

How long I work per day? Well, I start at 8am or 9am, start reading email, my earlyinthemorning set of sites to read, rss feeds and newsgroups and by 10am I start looking which support threads/questions are done and can be marked done, then I do a little extra support if required and then I start working on what project I'm on, till 6PM or so. simple_smile That's mainly it, so not that special simple_smile

The email sending is currently very slow and blocks posting a message for 5-10 seconds. This is odd, as the email sending is done asynchronously.

(edit) Enabled it on the local smtp service and it's fast again. simple_smile
