LLBLGen'ers

I think I want a T-shirt that says I'm an LLBLGen'er. simple_smile

(Seriously, you should look at http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/ and offer something. We did it for my kids' schools and it's no cost to set up. You just submit the logo and they print on demand.)

That's cool! simple_smile Would anyone be interested in LLBLGen Pro merchandise though? And if so, can anyone come up with really great one-liners?

You could have one of those red circles with the line going across and the letters "SQL" inside of it. sunglasses

LLBLGen Pro: Awful name. Awesome product.

For a while we had a Jelly company here in the states with a cute motto. So ...

"LLBLGen Pro, With a name like that it's got to be good."

My suggestions:

We do your layers.

Databases are tough. We're easy.

Talk to us, not SQL.

Stop talking gibberish. Use LLBLGen Pro.

Generate More Time with LLBLGen Pro.

It's about the support, stupid.

We're not your mother - but darned close.

More satisfying than SQL.

Be good to yourself. Use LLBLGen Pro.

Coding SQL sucks. Use LLBLGen Pro instead.

Think Layers. Think LLBLGen Pro.

Save Time and Aspirin. Use LLBLGen Pro.

The Missing Linq: LLBLGen Pro.

Work Smarter, not SQL.

SELECT LLBLGenPro as TimeSaver;

Data gets found here.

Data is your friend.

Make data your friend again.

Make SQL your friend again.

Shielding you from the hard stuff.

We'll write the hard code. You keep the glory.

Wow guys! Some of these ideas are hilarious smile By posting them here, you mean we can freely use them right? I'm now thinking of a whole LLBLGen Pro set, with t-shirts, mousemats (if they have them), mugs....

The product name is difficult, but to call it awful wink .... maybe we should come up with an easy - difficult one-liner as well...

I envision a bowl of soup with the letters LLBL and Gen floating around in it. Below,

I love the T-Shirt and Mug ideas. I just want them to say:

LLBLGen... proud to be one!!

or anyhting that has the name. although the name is difficult, it is diffinetly part of the product's personality and I like it...

When this stuff will be ready... can we order ahead...

While you guys are thinking up great motto's wink I'm going to set up a shop at that Cafepress.com swallace recommended, then decide what can go on what product (some are great for T-shirts, others are perfect for mugs etc.) and then I'll let you know in this thread.

What about a kid's T-shirt saying "my dad/mum is an LLBLGen'er", or "my dad can write 1000 lines of codes with a few mouse clicks"?

I love what all of you have come up with so far! simple_smile

I was just going for the alliteration with the "aw" beginning. I felt bad writing it and hoped that the 'awesome' part would make up for the 'awful' part.

"LLBLGen Pro: Goofy name. Good product." has the same alliteration but just doesn't sound as good. smile

Some movie lines:

"I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." - Rick Blaine: Casablanca (1942)

"It's a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done. It's a far, far better rest I go to than I have ever known." - Sydney Carton: A Tale of Two Cities (1935)

"I ain't good...I'm the best." - Clyde Barrow: Bonnie and Clyde (1967)

"Have you ever danced with the devil by the pale moon light?" - Batman: Batman (1989)

"Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son." - DEAN WORMER (John Vernon) in National Lampoon's Animal House <1978 >

Some movie names:

"LLBLGen & SQL = Beauty & the Beast"

"There's something about LLBLGen Pro"

or "LLBLGen Pro: There's something about it"

LOL, keep them coming! smile

Marketing-wise it would be best to have just one motto, but some are just brilliant, so we're going to use more of them. I'm in the process of making the graphics, using your input, so the first few items should be available soon.

Those of you whose slogans we use, will be enabled to choose a product and have it sent to you for free simple_smile There is a little catch: you'll be guinea pigs. We'll need your feedback on how it looks, if the colors are right etc...

Thanks for all the enthousiasm and especially thanks to swallace for coming up with this idea simple_smile
