The forum database is now migrated to a database local on our new server. This has the following advantage: search is now much better. We have a full text search in place now. This means that much better searches can be performed and they're very fast as well (LLBLGen Pro full text search predicate power ). The advantage to that is that our own search engine of the forum has been removed, which means faster forum posting and not a lot of memory consumption anymore.

We also added search term highlighting in the results. This means that when you click on a thread in the search results, the terms you searched on are highlighted (it's not literally correct in wildcard searches but it does a good job). This helps finding results in a thread more easily.

The list of noise words is much smaller now, so more searches will actually result in a thread found, plus you can now also search for words near others, sentences etc. Please give it a try and report any problems in the thread below.

The search page will get the main menu on top as well, in a couple of minutes. Done!
