This is small, but perhaps a few enhancements for the designer that come to mind:

They might have been mentioned already, but I didn't see them.

  • Allow full-screen option for quickmodel & model views
  • Allow save quickmodel to model view
  • Allow edit model view as quickmodel
  • Allow adjust width of table in model view - some entities have long names

This will be hard to do I think, as 'full screen' means the window has to be undocked and made full screen. But we'll check.

Allow save quickmodel to model view

this is already implemented. Select the entities, right-click them.

Allow edit model view as quickmodel

I don't follow: quick model is editing the entire model, not the view you see. So if you start with an empty canvas and you want to see the already existing entity 'Customer', simply type 'Customer'. It is already there so it is simply added to the view, but not re-created.

Allow adjust width of table in model view - some entities have long names

You mean that the entity graphic is widened? We tried to add this but we couldn't get this implemented with the library we're using (ILog diagramming). The name therefore wraps now. less ideal though, I agree. We'll do another attempt.

Sorry. I had assumed that forum section was for the framework, not the designer.

I don't follow

I would like to be able to re-use quickmodels without having to rebuild them from scratch.

I was thinking that a model view could be switched into "edit mode" or something like that.

You mean the 'view' as a whole? So you can continue with the view's contents in the quickmodel view?
