Frans,

I have folllowed your Blogs & Posts for a few years now and I completely agree with your stance on Stored Procedures. I've convinced my company that your approach to DAL is the best possible approach available.......no more convincing needed there and we have purchased your licenses for each developer. You have saved us 1000's of hours of development man hours.

Here is my conundrum. I am working on a project outside of my normal job and want to use the latest version LLBLGEN for the DAL/BL. I need more than 30 days to finish the proof of concept. Once I do that there will be 100's of other developers that will need licenses if not 1000's.

For moral reasons, I do not feel right about using my company license to work on a project that only I will profit from. but I do not want to buy another developer seat untill I make my first sale.

Would it be posible to extend my DEMO version license so that I can legally demo my product without worrying about the demo version time limit?

I understand that you run a company as well and depend upon profit/income to keep the lights on however, this may be a really good opportunity for you and I.

Please let me know how we can work this out.

Best Regards,

Jim

Hi,

I am developing a proof of concept and have just released a version online. The online version seems to not connect to my database. Is it possible to host a site using the demo version, or will the licencing only work locally??

Cheers,

Hamish.

Licensing is for the Designer, and the generated code will work anyway. So maybe you want to create a new thread describing your database connection issue.

(Edit) I see you've already started a new thread, let's continue there.
