Time to get this old thread out of archives, it hasn't seen any posts for weeks. It might not be friday anymore but i guess Saterday is close enough. Tongue

So here goes...

Frans have you seen the open source HTML Editor FckEditor for Asp.Net - It is really kick ass. - I played around with it today and it is so easy to use - drag drop and ask for the value that the user typed - Maybe you could use it for your forum. Wink

You also have freetextbox or something, which is also very good Regular Smiley However as I use UBB and not HTML for formatting, these editors are not that helpful here.

No, thank you !!! Regular Smiley I'll just use the free editor. - Let someone else do the work. Wink

I find Java Script to be a very difficult language to program in.
Diffirent calls for different browsers and there does not seem to be enough documentation about the language - We have several books here and it has happened to many times that i have to go google to get the info that i need. If there was just a IDE for javasript with code completion.

The word "niggly" springs to mind Wink You can get round the different browser issue really easily - just specify that your sofware only runs on IE6 and above Wink

I am sure that if it was possible todo then somebody would have done it already. Wink

And i have to say that i love using Open Source code but i personally don't like the idea of doing something and then giving it away for free. Sub routines and help is a different story - but the whole application - yah right - not me.

When I was a sudent we used to get a pint of beer for 50p in our local dodgy nightclucb, so 50 quid = 100 pints!!! Cool

meat and water? What kind of diet is that if I may ask? If you ask me, to lose weight using that is IMHO not the way to go

Wayne I'm in Lancaster, the north west of England (just underneath the lake district)! Nice place, although I fancy a change and a move somewhere else for a while!

I'm afriad I have to agree with Otis on the meat and water thing - doesn't sound like a sustainable plan to me Wink But then being a vegetarian I would think that!

That's the same diet I'm on Laugh .

About a week ago I got out of a 4-day ICU room in Maui. Bad stuff in my blood (I'll spare you the details). Now, no vegis, just chicken, beef, fish and lots of water.

TGIF... Man, I really wish it were possible for the whole world to just forget that I existed for the rest of the day so I could spend my time with a cold one and a bowl of peanuts in front of the TV.... I don't watch nearly enough TV any more.. Hell, I don't do anything that rots your mind any more.

I need to rot my mind some.. I need to kill some brain cells or something and today seems like a great day for that.

Well , all i can say is that 3 weeks ago i weighed 110 kg now i am on a 100 kg - It works!!! Laugh Ever heard of Atkins?

Meat does not cause you to loose weight - what actually happens is that meat make you feel satisfied quicker - so you eat less and because you dont take in any carbs or sugar your body must burn fat for energy. But you must drink alot of water to prevent your kidneys from suffering - I drink about 3 liters of water a day.

IMHO it is no a sustainable diet - you get sick and tired of meat after a while. (You are allowed to have some eggs aswell) I am suppose to stay on it for 6 weeks or until my weight reaches 90kg then i must move onto a more sustainable diet and add in some exercise. My personal target is 85kg. Regular Smiley

My daily scheduele is as follows:

breakfast:
4 pieces of bacon - (Actually as much as want to eat)
1 boiled egg - (Actually as much as want to eat)
500 ml of water.

lunch
75 grams of Biltong
2 liters of water during the day.

Supper
Steak, Spare Ribs, fish, calamari or what ever protein you can put your hands on.
Some vegies after week 4.
500 ml of water.

Preach! I haven't had an extended World of Warcraft session in I don't know how long. Having a baby kind of eats up all remaining time. Of course, I've found as I've gotten older that my tolerance to mind-rotting activities has gone down. Gone are the days of all day and night LAN parties, for sure. Even playing games alone or watching TV for long periods of time ( > 2 hours) leaves me feeling guilty and embarassed. Yet another casualty of parenthood, I guess.

yeah I heard of him, he died overweighted, and his diet is unhealthy. You don't get any carbohydrates to feed your brain, which burns about 40% of the total energy you burn.

I also drink about 3 liters of water per day, but that's because in the IT business you don't move a lot Wink

What's way more healthy is just eat what you naturally should eat: fibers, fibers, fibers. And no fast food or softdrinks. You have to establish a healthy eat habit, not go on a diet, as when you do that, your body adjusts to that lower level of supply and when you fall into your normal routine, you'll gain twice as much.

Spent the better half of the afternoon trying to figure out why the single Mac that we have to run our Avid MediaComposer suite was flashing a question mark icon instead of booting.

I got it running, but not without calling every freakin place in town to find someone who knew how to make sense of Apple's PRAM, boot partition, file system, etc...

I'm going to stop now before I go into a long rant about Macs and their so called usability.

Sure, I feel like a hero, but you bess damn believe I'm ready for a cold one! Regular Smiley

Hey, Mac's are c00l Wink (or so I heard from the now fired designer we had here a couple of years ago Wink).

Though I must admit, the new mac OS X does make me think back to the Amiga days, don't know why. But then again, an OS is pretty useless if you don't have anything to run on it. Regular Smiley

Yeah, i ordered it from the states on Sunday and it arrived here in the uk on wednesday morning. Now that's service! Sadly my wireless access point from amazon (uk) didn't arrive til this morning so i've not had a chance to play with it properly but i've set it all up and it's sitting there teasing me just waiting to be played with.

A whole bunch of companies are starting to offer them but that's definitly the best one i've seen, the on board support for FLAC is a big plus, seeing as i've just spent the best part of 2 months converting my entire cd collection to FLAC Regular Smiley
